Hey
@751564764244869282
Yep, that would do it. I can't possibly recommend exposing a seed function in production.
If anything, you would only call a seed script either in the pipeline behind a flag, or once initially during deployment
I would remove the seed function from being accessible though
The only other thing that comes to mind that could do this, is if you enabled versions/drafts on these collections and then deployed
But in that case, the data should still be in your db
any possible hidden back up spots
What do you mean?
Payload, by itself, wouldn't wipe the db and images. Something external must've done it. Maybe someone on the team connected from local machine and changed some schemas? It makes the most sense that someone just accidentally hit the seed endpoint in which case you could probably see logs wherever you store them
thanks
My pleasure, good luck!
to get our images back -
https://revive-cms-f1ac9cb.payloadcms.app/media/PatientFi_NewLogo.jpgdo you have an ideas
our back up doesn't have the actual media
hold on a second
are images gone forever
media gone forever
if the seed run is ran
@654031862146007055Double check your storage adapter bucket itself, is your media there potentially?
they seem gone - but react/next.js cache seems to be working so we're manually downloading everhything
is there a way to ftp in to the media directory
to put them manually back up
or some way to get back up there
@654031862146007055Where are you hosting? VPS? Should be able to just ssh
payload cloud
Ahh, not sure there tbh
so we have download all assets
any way to push to media directory or media panel
does payload have back ups from the cloud sites?
can i pay extra one to get a back up back
we hav ea manual back up from a few months ago
No idea honestly, I think there
areon-demand backups, but I'm not sure if they are for db's only or if they extend to file storage/instance backup
That's a question for the payload devs I think
where can i ask?
i'm willing to pay good money
support@payloadcms.comEmail them with your project-id and relevant info about the situation
thank you
what's the usual turn around time on support emails so i can le tme team know? 24 hours or less?
I was told 24 - 48 hrs
i know you're offline but i'm kind of in a pinch with a client -- sent an email to support but can't wait 48 hours -- i just need to know if our payload has a backup from anytime this week and if we can recover it easily...especially the pages and media. if not, we'll have to manually recover everything that wasn't in our last manual back up from 2 months ago. thank you so much for your help. happy to pay for the time.
i really don't want to ping
@969226489549713438but haven't heard from support -- huge fans of payload, want to continue using it on client projects, but need some help here asap -- all i need is just a simple yes or no. does our client's $35/m plan have a back up from this week before they accidently errased all their pages and media? if so, can someone help us spin it up real quick? thank you 🙏
Yes. Did you email? We just need some info about the project and when to restore
amazing - thank you - yes, emailed support@payload.com - Urgent: Backup of site was subject - my email was levi@useallfive.com
